Punta Gorda, Florida, United States, 28th Aug 2026 – Three new businesses are coming to MidTown Marketplace at Babcock Ranch. The Publix-anchored center is under construction now. The tenant mix says more about the town’s maturity than another restaurant would.

Kluck-Kluck Chicken is joining the lineup. The Illinois-based restaurant serves Tennessee hot chicken, Buffalo mac and cheese, and crispy chicken sandwiches. It built its name on a food truck and on fresh, never-frozen chicken.

Martinizing Dry Cleaners is also coming. The company handles dry cleaning, wash-dry-fold service, pickup and delivery, alterations, shoe repair, and wedding gown preservation.

Venetian Nail Spa will open next door to Martinizing. It will offer manicures and pedicures.

All three join Pi MidTown among the businesses already announced for the marketplace.

“Everybody gets excited about restaurants. A restaurant is a night out,” Garuti said. “A dry cleaner and a nail salon are a Tuesday. That is what decides whether a town works day to day. It is also what people forget to ask about while they stand in a model home looking at quartz counters.”

Why this changes the neighborhood math

Babcock Ranch covers 24 neighborhoods and 10 builders. Fourteen of those neighborhoods are selling new construction today.

More than 6,000 homes have sold at Babcock Ranch to date. That volume gives the town a deep resale market.

Vertical construction is also shaping B Street. The walkable plaza will combine retail, restaurants, entertainment, offices, and residences. Its first tenant has already opened.

Built around the landscape, not on top of it

Babcock Ranch treats greenspace as infrastructure. The town maintains roughly 500 acres of common space. It requires native species for 75 percent of all foliage. Smart irrigation management cuts water use, fertilizer, and pesticides.

The same logic drives the town’s 870-acre solar array. That array became the first utility-scale field to power an entire American town. Babcock Ranch kept its power through Hurricane Ian’s Category 4 landfall. Much of Southwest Florida went dark.
